Whether it's polos for your team, t-shirts for a marathon or uniforms for a hotel, bulk orders go smoothly when you have the right information ready. Here's what to prepare and the mistakes to avoid.

What to prepare before asking for a quote

  • The garment: t-shirt, polo, hoodie, shirt or uniform, and the fit you want.
  • Quantity: even a rough number helps, because price per piece changes with quantity.
  • Fabric and colour: or tell us how it will be used and we'll suggest options.
  • Your logo or artwork: ideally as a vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG). A high-resolution PNG also works.
  • Print positions: for example, chest logo on the left, large print on the back, sleeve print.
  • Your deadline: the date you need the garments in hand, not the event date.

Plan your size split early

The most common delay in bulk orders is waiting for sizes. Collect sizes from your team or participants before you place the order. For events where you don't know sizes, a common approach is to weight the order towards M and L and order a few extra of each size.

Share a size chart with your team so people choose correctly, especially for oversized or fitted styles.

Choose the right decoration

  • Corporate polos and uniforms: embroidery looks premium and lasts through daily washing.
  • Event and campaign t-shirts: screen printing is usually the most economical for large runs with simple designs.
  • Detailed or full-colour designs: DTF printing handles photos and gradients.
  • Team names and numbers: vinyl lets every piece be different.

Our guide to choosing a printing method explains each one in detail.

Approve a mockup and a sample

A digital mockup confirms the design, colours and print position. For larger orders, a physical sample confirms the fabric, fit and print quality. It takes a little extra time, but it prevents expensive surprises.

Leave enough time

Build in time for artwork approval, sampling, production and delivery. Rush orders are sometimes possible, but planning ahead gives you more choice of fabric and method, and less stress.

Check the delivery

Ask for garments to be packed by size, which makes distribution much easier. When they arrive, check a few pieces from each size before handing them out.
